Caesar Crystal Bohemiae

The glassworks is located near Svetlej nad Sazavou in a small town called Josefodol. Huta was founded by a businessman from Vienna, Josef Schreiber, in 1861.

Huta prospered until the Second World War. After the war, nationalization and incorporation into a state-owned enterprise producing glass under the common name of Bohemia took place.

In 1994, after the fall of communism, privatization took place and the glassworks was transformed into a joint-stock company called CAESAR CRYSTAL BOHEMIAE. The word 'Caesar' in the name of the glassworks refers to the last private owners - the Emperor brothers (brother of Cisar).

Glass products Caesar Crystal Bohemiae is characterized by a unique method of combining two colors of crystal. Glazier puts colored glass on translucent glass at the stage of blowing and forming hot glass.
It is unique in the world and at the same time a very difficult method.
